ASHRAE WISCONSIN CHAPTER
Welcome to the Wisconsin Chapter of ASHRAE with monthly meetings with technical presentations, tours, advocacy and social events throughout the year offer members opportunities for professional growth, networking and career advancement. ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is a global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment. The Society and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration, and sustainability within the industry. Through research, standards writing, publishing, and continuing education, ASHRAE shapes tomorrow’s built environment today. There are currently 57,000 ASHRAE members in 132 countries.

Monthly Meeting October 16
FEI or Fan Energy Index is the latest metric used to determine the efficiency of a fan and represent a change from FEG or Fan Energy Grade. Understanding what FEI is, how FEI is applied, how it is different from FEG, and how FEI will benefit anyone selecting a fan is the goal of this presentation. Click here for more info.
SCHOLARSHIPS
More information to come for 2026 applications for our chapter's Gustus L. Larson Scholarship. The scholarship is for engineering students that are interested in HVAC and entering their senior year of college. The annual amount of the scholarship is $5,000 divided between up to three (3) recipients. If you, or anyone you know may be interested in the scholarship, you can download the application online when it is available.

ASHRAE Technology Awards
The purpose of the ASHRAE Technology Awards program is to:
-
Recognize ASHRAE members who design and/or conceive innovative technological concepts that are proven through actual operating data;
-
Communicate innovative systems designs to other ASHRAE members;
-
Highlight the technological achievements of ASHRAE to others, including associated professionals and societies worldwide, as well as building and facility owners.
Each year the Society may present awards in six categories:
Commercial Buildings (New, Existing, Existing Building Commissioning);
Institutional Buildings (New, Existing, Existing Building Commissioning);
Health Care Facilities (New, Existing, Existing Building Commissioning);
Industrial Facilities or Processes (New, Existing, Existing Building Commissioning);
Public Assembly (New, Existing, Existing Building Commissioning); and
Residential
